Jennifer lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband and two children. She has worked in the healthcare field for over 10 years and has always had a passion for helping others. Volunteering has always been a big part of her heart and truly the reason why this non-profit was created. It is the simple act of kindness that can bring people together and create change. With determination and hard work, Roots with Purpose will be able to bring the large gap there is in our unhoused communities in the Raleigh and surrounding areas.

Derrick has been in the business management arena for over 25 years. none more satisfying than the start-up that he is working on now to make others feel comfortable in their gear. His passion for this non-profit is something that he has never felt before and is driven to make it a success in helping our unhoused neighbors here at home and wherever the help is needed. These neighbors are wanting to feel a sense of belonging and worth as they try to get back on their feet in this world. Derrick enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer and traveling to different places around the world. If it is a cruise or a trip to Jamaica or to the local beach, he is happy to be by the side of his beautiful bride.
